Doctoral Program

It is the objective of the doctoral program to provide research training of the highest international standards while at the same time promoting independent research. The graduate program will offer individualized supervision and provide research opportunities in American/Canadian research institutes, archives and libraries.

Based on an innovative research program, the interdisciplinary curriculum of the Graduate School responds to the growing need to move beyond traditional disciplines. New integrated research models and methods will be developed that systematically take the interaction of cultural, social, and economic factors into account.
